Lindsay Watts Sanchez was born in Baton Rouge. She lived in Minnesota and moved back to Baton Rouge where she graduated from Louisiana State University in 2004 (B.A., Psychology). She received her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Southern University Law Center in 2008, where she graduated in the top 5% of her class. During law school, Lindsay received the CALI award for Excellence in Security Devices, Commercial Papers, and Conflict of Laws.
Lindsay began working in the legal field at Tyler & Possa as a courier in 1997. She worked in various other positions until she was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in 2008. Lindsay began her practice of law representing plaintiffs at Tyler & Possa. Lindsay also worked as an insurance defense attorney, serving as staff counsel for a large insurance company. Lindsay’s experience provides her with an advantage in representing people pursuing personal injury claims. Her defense background gives her a valuable perspective into the claims handling and case evaluation process and allows Lindsay to maximize recovery for her clients.
In addition to being licensed to practice law in Louisiana, she is also admitted in the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Louisiana, and the United States Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit.
