Stephanie was born and raised in Baton Rouge. She graduated from LSU in 1999 with a Bachelor’s in Arts. She attended Southern University Law Center and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2003. She was admitted to the bar in October 2003. Her areas of practice are wrongful death, personal injury (all types including automobile accidents, slip and falls, and industrial accidents), worker’s compensation and cases that involve both worker’s compensation and a third party claim.

Stephanie has been an active member of the Louisiana Association for Justice (formerly the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association) since she was admitted to the bar. In 2019, she started serving on the LAJ Board of Governors. She was honored to be asked and serve as the Women’s Caucus Chair for the Association from 2009-2010. In November 2014, Stephanie gave a Distracted Driving Seminar at St. Joseph’s Academy. In September 2017, she gave a CLE presentation entitled “Decision Time: Should I take this case?”

A unique area of practice that Stephanie handles are cases involving worker’s compensation and third party claims. She was has lectured in Continuing Legal Education seminars about such cases for the Louisiana Association for Justice.

She is currently a member of the Baton Rouge Bar Association, Federal Fifth Circuit Bar Association, and Louisiana State Bar Association.

Stephanie is currently serving on the Louisiana Association for Justice Board of Governors.

She served on the LSU National Diversity Board from 2013 to 2017, and on the LSU Museum of Art Board of Directors in 2016.

The National Trial Lawyers Association has named Stephanie one of the “Top 100 Trial Lawyers” in Louisiana since 2007. Stephanie was one of The National Trial Lawyers Association “Top 40 Under 40 Trial Lawyers in Louisiana” from 2012 to 2017. She was also in the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys, Top 10, 2015.

Stephanie is an active participant in the Baton Rouge Community.

She was honored to participate in the American Cancer Society Cancer Ball in 2016 as one of Baton Rouge’s Best Dressed.

In 2017, she participated in the Karnival Krewe de Louisiane as Duchess. This is a Mardi Gras Krewe that raises money for Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center.

Susan G. Komen

Stephanie is very active with Susan G. Komen Baton Rouge. She has been the Tyler & Possa Team Captain for Race for the Cure since 2007. In 2017, she was honored to reiceve the “More than Pink Hero” designation from Susan G. Komen Baton Rouge as well as the “Outstanding Volunteer” Award in 2018.

Stephanie has been very active in BigWigs! This is a fundraiser benefitting Susan G. Komen. The Baton Rouge affiliate began this event in 2016. Stephanie is an active board member and chairs the event (along with some wonderful co-chairs and board members).

QUEEN ARTEMIS XVII

Stephanie reigned as Queen of the Krewe of Artemis in 2018. The Krewe of Artemis is an all-female Baton Rouge Mardi Gras Krewe with over 500 members. The Krewe participates in community outreach. From visiting the school for the deaf to visiting children that are unable to go to the parade. Artemis brings the parade to them.
